About Boomber Man
A small, independent browser game made with care.
Who made it, and why
Boomber Man is a small independent project built by one hobbyist developer who grew up loving top-down bomber games. The idea was simple: make a bomber adventure that anyone can open in a browser in two seconds, with no installs, no sign-ups and no pressure, but with enough fresh ideas to feel like its own game.
The game is written in plain JavaScript on an HTML canvas, with no engine and no external libraries. Everything you see and hear is original and made in code: every sprite, tile, enemy and Titan is drawn with canvas shapes, and every sound effect and music loop is synthesized with the Web Audio API. There are no stolen assets and no downloaded image or audio files.
What the game offers
You get 20 levels across four worlds (Meadow, Forest, Cavern and Castle), 20 unique enemies that each need a different trick, plantable bushes that work as both a shield and your health, a set of power-ups, and four giant Titan boss battles. A level usually takes one to four minutes, and your progress is saved on your own device. An Easy mode is available if you want a gentler ride.
How to play for free
Just press Play. There is nothing to download and no account to make, and it works on both desktop and mobile. If you want to learn the rules first, the player guide explains the controls, blocks, bushes, power-ups, every enemy and every Titan. The site is supported by advertising, which is how the hosting costs are covered; see the privacy policy for details.
